Take a leisurely stroll through the almond trees − the Punta Gorda walking trails start right outside your front door! The Camino de Las Fuentes is a circular route that takes you past several almost forgotten natural springs, while another path that
begins at Cuesta de La Romana leads to the 19th century mill Molino de Los Venteros. These walks are at their most wonderful early in the year when the almond trees are in blossom.
Pure relaxation
Pamper yourself and book a massage with Melanie. Her studio (www.energiepfade.com) is just a stonethrow away from the Villa. We recommend the Ayurvedic full body massage! Moreover, she offers regular yoga classes for beginners and advanced practicioners.
Secluded summer beach
In the summer, Calle Concito is the perfect spot for a bit of peaceful sunbathing − it’s a real hidden gem! You will often have the entire beach to yourself, even at the peak of the summer season. It’s about 20 minutes north of Gran Atlantico along
the picturesque coast road. The walk down from the road to the beach takes about half an hour.
Secluded winter beach
In the winter, we recommend a trip to Playa Echentive at Fuencaliente. This is one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches on the island and also one of the youngest, having been formed by the volcanic eruption of 1971.
A pinch of salt
Why not pay a visit to the Fuencaliente saltpans? The salt harvesters of the Hernández family have opened an “interpretation centre” and the Jardín de la Sal restaurant in tribute to the island’s white gold. Four different types of flor de sal − with
Teneguía wine, red mojo sauce, lemon and pepper or herbs − make for the perfect souvenir!
